2019 ASTROLOGY.

2019 has a lot of EARTH and WATER energy. You might think of this as the year of DIVINE FEMININE manifestation. Mother Earth – GAIA – Artemis – Demeter. SHE wants to provide for you in a big way. Are you ready to receive her gifts?
In astrology, earth and water signs are YIN or FEMININE in nature. This means that they are more receptive than active – but don’t mistake this for laziness. Earth signs can be the hardest working signs in the zodiac. They know how to keep putting one foot in front of the other – showing up – even when they don’t feel like it. Water signs are about emotion and intuition. They go through life FEELING before THINKING. Water signs are all about vibes and energy.
There are several key reasons why 2019 will slant in the direction of these two elements. All but one of the Solar/Lunar eclipse pairs will happen in Capricorn (an earth sign) and its opposite Cancer (a water sign.) These two signs are activated because the North Node now lies in Cancer and the South Node in Capricorn. The north and south nodes are the two points where the Sun’s path (the ecliptic) the moon’s path intersect.
The first eclipse of 2019 happens in a few short days – with the New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on January 5th. The next one is two weeks later – a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Leo – the last of the eclipses activating the Leo/Aquarius axis. Get outside – this one will be visible in the United States on January 21st at 12:16am EST. This summer we have a Total Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 2nd, a Partial Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on July 16th and a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on December 26th.
These eclipses will be drawing energy and awareness to your home and family life and your career and public life. You’ll want to see where you have Cancer and Capricorn in your natal chart to understand more fully how these eclipses will impact you. Your natal chart consists of 12 houses – with each house representing a different department of life. The particular houses that contain Cancer/Capricorn will be amplified during the eclipses.
Next up we have the 3 Mercury retrograde phases of 2019. All three phases take place in water signs: March 5-28 in Pisces, July 8 – August 1 (Leo to Cancer) and October 31 – November 20th in Scorpio. These Mercury retrograde phases will have us blending intellect and emotion – how we think about our feelings and how we communicate (or don’t communicate) them.
2019 has a lot more direct energy than 2018. You might remember the 2018 summer of retrograde when 7 planets were all doing the backstroke together. Luckily this is not the case this year. Instead of spending so much time and energy doing internal work (retrogrades turn the energy inward) we’ll be able to make more forward/external progress.
On January 6th, Uranus turns direct, one of the last big planets to finally resume direct motion. On March 6th this planet enters earth sign Taurus (where it will remain for 7 years.) This placement will impact what we value and how we assign value to people/places/things. There might be a big banking and financial shake up and restructuring. Wealth across the world may be distributed differently. What we value might change.
Saturn spends the entire year in its home sign of Capricorn. This brings a practicality to the cosmic energy – encouraging us to get organized and disciplined. This tempers what could otherwise be a year of unchecked and unlimited expansion with Jupiter in its home sign of Sagittarius. Jupiter and Sagittarius represent growth, expansion, exploration, truth-seeking, global travel, education, philosophy and politics. Jupiter is extra jolly in Sagittarius – adding some much needed fire to what is mostly an earth and water year.
Overall I see 2019 as a powerful, abundant year for anyone who tunes into this energy. In numerology this year is a number 3. When you add up 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 you get 12. You reduce this to a single digit by adding the two digits together 1 + 2 = 3. For your personal number take your date and month of birth and add it to 2019. Example – Birth day June 30th = 6 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 21 = 2 + 1 = 3. The number 3 indicates communication, networking, information, media and sales. The number 3 corresponds to Gemini in astrology – the sign ruled by Mercury that revels in these things. I see 2019 as a year of building + networking + reinforcing everything you’ve been working on up until this point. We’re entering the Chinese year of the PIG – which also corresponds to the WATER element. The Universe has so much energy + love to support you in your growth.
